Prof. Dengpan Bu is an animal nutritionist and faculty member at the Institute of Animal Science, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He is serving as the Director on China-Ireland Sustainable Development Center and CAAS-ICRAF Joint Laboratory on Agroforestry and Sustainable Animal Husbandry. He is an Associated Editor of Animal Nutrition and Canadian Journal of Animal Science. Dr. Bu’s research activities focused on nutrient metabolism at cellular, gut microbiology, tissue and whole animal levels in ruminants. The research objectives are to improve feed efficiency and animal health while to reduce the nutrients emission through animal wastes, and further to set up pilot model for the sustainable animal husbandry. Dr.Bu has published more than 100 research articles.
