Jong Geun Kim obtained his Ph.D. in Grassland and Forage Science from the Seoul National University (1999). He received his M.S. (1994) and B.C. (1991) in Animal Science from the Seoul National University. From 1994 to 2013, Jong Geun Kim was a Researcher at Grassland and Forage Division, National Institute of Animal Science, RDA. He is a professor at the Graduate School of International Agricultural Technology, Seoul National University since 2014. His primary research interests include forage production and utilization. This is a study on the maximum production technology of high-quality forage and the processing and conservation technology before feeding to livestock. Recently, research on the cultivation and utilization of whole-crop rice for ruminant feed in paddy fields is also included.
